omg jay i had this idea for a coffee shop au where Derek is like the world’s scariest barista and everybody is afraid of him so Stiles always makes Scott get their coffee but then one day Scott’s not there and Stiles needs caffeine but Derek’s not mean to him, he’s just super awkward because he thinks Stiles is wicked hot and doesn’t know how to have feelings and Stiles is like why are you scared of him he’s just kinda weird and also maybe sexy and Scott is like dude no he’s satan you don’t even know and Stiles sets out to prove Derek is totally nice then idk they fall in love and there are pumpkin lattes

Y E S OH MY GOD and stiles is the only one derek acts that way with, everyone else he just kind of glares at them as they’re ordering their coffee and he especially hates hipsters with their complicated coffee orders but as soon as stiles comes around he’s kind of fumbly and awkward and makes not so funny jokes but stiles finds them funny because derek is so awkward it’s cute dnfgk;ds

then Stiles and Scott go up to order together the settle whether or not Derek’s an asshole and Derek doesn’t know what to do so he smiles shyly at Stiles but then gives Scott the evil eye when he asks for whipped cream because he interrupted something Stiles was saying about the mating habits of hyenas and Derek is very interested in that okay?

and stiles doesn’t notice when derek glares as scott when they go back to the table they’re sitting at stiles is just like, “see, he’s so nice, right?” and scott is just like “DUDE HE TOTALLY EVIL EYED ME” and stiles just thinks he’s now making stuff up because at that same moment he looks up and derek is looking right at him with a fond look on his face and points to the bag of cookies stiles bought and he looks inside and notices derek also put in an extra brownie in there just for him
