do you ever stop to contemplate the fact that gunnerkrigg’s entire story is about very different but all very strong and capable young pubescent girls growing up and overcoming their hardships in life, very few which have to do with their relationships with the opposite sex, and having incredibly meaningful bonds with each other, one of which is romantic in nature, without it ever once coming off as disrespectful or fan-pleasing or anything of the sort

they’re all just written as human
